Customers that purchase firearms and NFA items directly from us have priority and are not subject to transfer fees. We will receive firearms purchased from other FFLs or online dealers and facilitate the transfer for you. We only sell and/or transfer firearms to Pennsylvania residents. We will sell firearms out of state but the firearm must be legal in your state and must be shipped to an FFL in your state for you to complete the paperwork. The fee for transfers (long guns, handguns and receivers) is $42 which includes the PICS background check. This includes up to 3 firearms. $10 per additional firearm after the 3. Transfer and background check will only be initiated for the individual listed on the paperwork. For us to order a firearm for you we do require prepayment. Prepayment must be made in cash and is non-refundable if you fail the background check or otherwise change your mind about the purchase. (We are primarily a gunsmithing shop but we can also facilitate firearm sales and transfers. We don't keep many firearms for sale in stock and have had too many customers have us order firearms then change their mind when it gets here.) This also applies if you fail the background check, so it is your responsibility to know whether or not you will pass the PICS check. It is the responsibility of the transferee to know if they are legally eligible to purchase a firearm or receiver before making any online firearm purchases. It is also your responsibility to know and understand the return policies of the online dealer you made your purchase from. Should the transferee be "Delayed" by the PICS background check, the firearm(s) must remain in our possession until a "Proceed" is received. The Brady Act does not apply in Pennsylvania, a "Proceed" must be received for you to take possession of the firearm. A "Delay" means the State Police need to do additional research to verify the transferee's background. Should the transferee be "Denied" by PICS, the firearm(s) will remain in our possession. It is the responsibility of the transferee to arrange for the firearm(s) to be returned to the original seller. We CAN NOT transfer it to your "friend" or "family member". The transferee will still be responsible for the $42 transfer fee plus any packaging and any other shipping fees that may be applicable before the firearm is returned. If you believe the Denial was received in error, we will provide you with the PICS Denial Resolution paperwork. If the denial is overturned into a "Proceed" we will also waive any storage fees incurred by us. We also transfer NFA items (Silencers, SBRs, SBSs, AOWs, Transferrable Machine Guns and for Police Departments Machine Guns). The fee for NFA items is $100 per item, which includes the eform 4, photo for the eform 4 and secure storage during the background check process. We can not submit the fingerprints electronically, you will need to get the fingerprints done and mail them into the NFA division with your cover letter. The fee does not include the $200 cost of the Tax Stamp. Purchasing NFA items directly through us will waive the $100 transfer fee. NFA items do not fall under the same storage and abandonment policy as regular firearms as they take a long time to be approved. However, storage fees will be applied if you do not come in within 2 weeks of us receiving the item to start the paperwork.Â
Abandoned Items
Firearms not picked up within 2 weeks of us receiving the item will incur a $20/week storage fee. Accumulated fees must be paid to pick up the firearm(s). After 30 days the firearm(s) and/or other accessories or items will be considered abandoned and will become the property of 20X Precision, LLC. The abandonment policy also applies to firearms here for gunsmith work unless other arrangements have been made.
